Vivo Life Superhuman Games

First launched in 2013, Superhuman Games has become one of the UK’s most iconic hybrid fitness competitions - combining strength, endurance, and grit in an unforgettable outdoor setting.

Across five 20-minute workouts throughout the day, athletes are tested on every aspect of fitness - from military-style training and rucking to strongman & CrossFit-style movements, to obstacle course racing and fitness racing, this event brings it all together - the ultimate test of functional fitness.

Competitors travel from across the UK and beyond to take on the challenge - from military personnel and CrossFit competitors to OCR racers, PTs, and everyday fitness enthusiasts. The beauty of the Games is that every workout is designed to be challenging yet accessible for all ability levels, meaning first-time participants can compete side by side with experienced Superhuman Games athletes.

the workouts

There are five workouts across the day, each lasting 20 minutes and challenging a different aspect of your fitness. Your goal: complete as many laps as possible of the workout before the clock runs out.

Every year, the Superhuman Games workouts are newly designed and released 12 weeks before the event. While the specific movements change, the themes of each workout remain the same year after year.

Strength & Honour

This workout typically involves heavy lifting but Superhuman-style! You can expect movements like tyre flips, tyre pulls, drags and heavy sandbag work.

Brutal Beat Down

A fast & furious workout using bodyweight and full body movements to test your mobility, grit as well as functional endurance.

Unconventional Beast

A multiple-carry workout using odd objects such as logs, blocks, kegs & more!

Assault Course

Simple - smash out as many laps as possible of our military-style assault course in a you-go-I-go format with your team.

VO2 Max

This workout is an all-out lung buster, usually involving running & rucking & hill sprints.

You can check out the workouts from 2025 for each category here:

FAQs
I'm new to functional fitness, is this event suitable for me?

Yes, although the workouts are designed to challenge you in terms of weights and duration, we always prioritise non-technical movements rather than high-skill movements. If you're unsure, check out the workouts from last here to get a better idea of the some of the movements you can expect in each workout.

Same Sex Pairs Workouts - Mixed Pairs Workouts - Mixed Team Of 4 Workouts

When are the workouts released?

The workouts are released 12 weeks before the event. You'll receive full video demos of each workout as well as an information pack.

I want to take part but I don't have a team/partner - what should I do?

There are a few different options with this. We would recommend still signing up as this will mean we will pre-allocate a spot for your team/pair (regardless of whether your team is complete yet). In terms of finding a teammate(s), we have a dedicated Facebook group designed for this. You can join the group here and then follow the instructions on the group. If you fail to find a teammate, you are also able to defer your entry to the following year or sell your entry to someone else (please note: we don't get involved in the resale of tickets, this will need to be organised by yourself, you'll just need to let us know about the information of the new person via email - events@superhumansports.com).

Can I request to be in the same heat as my friend's team?

Yes of course - if you did not add any heat requests when signing up, you can do so afterwards by logging into your account. In order to do so; login to your account on our website > head to 'event tickets' > navigate to your Games' entry for that particular year and click 'update booking/team details' then follow add any information under heat requests. Please note: we will always try to accommodate heat requests and they are possible in 99% of cases but heat requests are not guaranteed.

Will there be prizes for each categories?

Yes, there will be prizes for the top 3 performers in each category across every age group.

Can I make changes to my booking?

Yes, in your account, you can change your team name, add heat requests, defer your entry to the following year (for free) or transfer your booking to someone else. In order to access your account, login to your account on our website > head to 'event tickets' > navigate to your Games' entry for that particular year and click 'update booking/team details'.

I can no longer take part, can I defer my entry?

Yes, you can defer your entry for (free) once to the following year. You can do so as follows; login to your account on our website > head to 'event tickets' > navigate to your Games' entry for that particular year and click 'update booking/team details' then follow the instructions on deferring. We will then be in touch the following year to confirm whether you'd like to use your deferred entry.

What is the start & finish time for the event?

Superhuman Games is a full day event, you should arrive by 8.30am and the day will finish at around 5.30pm. You will be sent the entire schedule a few weeks out from the event.

How do I book parking?

You will be able to book parking a few weeks out from the event, you will be emailed with instructions on how to do so.
